Biography

We All Hunger for Something More (Aether Paradise Scientist)
To the common visitor Aether Paradise appeared to be your friendly clinic. A place where Pokemon could both heal and reside safely, despite it being an artificial island in the middle of the ocean. Not just Pokemon, but people made this place their so-called home. And this is exactly where Lynn Makana was born.

Protected would be putting it lightly when it came to her upbringing The daughter of Aether Scientists she in contrast wore her heart on her sleeve while her parents hid behind a mirrored mask. And for a time being, Lynn soon became an Aether Employee herself. Sure she was allowed to travel outside of the conservatory, but these were often heavily supervised.

They say people are either equipped with a fight or flight response. Being one who always preferred to avoid conflict Lynn undoubtedly always chose the latter. Escaping to various nooks and crannies at the facility to just give herself time. Time to breathe. And to possibly bond with some of the conservatory Pokemon. In essence she became a sort of therapist for them as well as other employees who started to feel the same as she did.

In reality, Aether Paradise struggled with keeping up their perfect image. And during the infamous Team Rainbow Rocket invasion, these cracks started to show more. Good intentions or not, it was revealed that a good portion treated the Pokemon there more like test subjects rather than partners. Or just simply a living being.

During the chaos of the invasion, Lynn made the decision to leave the facility and to make her own life. More so, she decided to find herself, by embarking on the Trial Challenge. The Alolan rite of passage. She wanted to know for sure what she left behind was

Throughout her trials, Lynn discovered her talent for cooking. In particular her studies eventually focused on the correlation between flavors and a Pokemon’s nature. Eventually she set up her own street food stall in an effort to make ends meet. It definitely isn’t easy being without a permanent home. And yet. She has no regrets. In fact, she has the freedom to pursue other dreams. Including one to become an aspiring performer. After all both food and music are therapeutic to her.

Despite all of this, there is still a part of her that misses the research she was once a part of. The ultra beast she acquired during a trip to Ultra Deep Space is a reminder of this desire. The UB has oddly become a watchful protector to Lynn and the rest of her Pokemon even after witnessing the surgical experiments its trainer was forced to perform. And now as of recently Lynn tries to balance both lifestyles.
